Meat Testing

Nav Labs (AUS) has all necessary meat testing laboratory services to provide complete testing solutions for the Meat sector, particularly for compliance with legislative requirements. Our customers include Ready-To-Eat meat and small-goods manufacturers, butchers, meat processors, and abattoirs.

We are specialised in export meat testing including carcass hygiene, meat testing and environmental testing. Our accreditation is per Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) programs for export meat testing including the National Carcass Microbiology Monitoring Program (formerly ESAM) and Plant Hygiene Indicators (PHI). Listeria can be present in a food processing environment and hiding in hard-to-find locations. There are strict regulations for Listeria testing, especially in packaged Ready-To-Eat meat products. Detailed information on Listeria management program is given on PrimeSafe website in a PrimeNote. Food businesses must comply with requirements under Meat Industry Act 1993. Failure to comply with these requirements may lead to very serious consequences.
